Future Fabrics Expo, London

Last week me and my business partner visited the Future Fabrics Expo at the London College of Fashion, this expo, hopefully the first of many to come was organized by The Sustainable Angle, a non for profit organization. The expo worked towards promoting innovative and commercially viable fabrics and fibers which demonstrated a commitment to lowering the environmental impact across the supply chain.

There is a desperate need to address the way we both make and buy clothes, our choice of materials has an impact upon a products entire life and therefore the fabric is the first step in a designers journey. It is astounding how far the industry has come in the past few years and this is mainly down to consumer demand. The outdated image of sustainable fabrics is finally dissolving and is been replaced by high the quality, innovative and environmentally friendly fabrics of the future.
