It's all over now untill next February but fashion took London by storm last week, leaving two key trends in its wake: Tribal Jewels and Cute Pastels.
Bold, earthy tones and bright jewel peices were key at both Burberry and Matthew Williamson. The look is ethnic traveller, with last seasons 70s silhouettes still key. Luxurious and flowing, this is not gap year shabby but grown up chic. Roksanda Ilincic's burnt ocre dress is a favourite; team with a bright belt to give shape. Tribal prints are a mix of african and aztec, mix both together and clash them for a bold look as seen at Topshop Unique. Acessories were woven both at Ilincic and Burberry, a key trend that is sure to be around all through next summer and here at Borne Again we champion the woven goods, just take at look at our Fuzibodo woven mats and bags, fashionable and ethically produced.
The alternative look is softer, girly and cutsie, with Meadham Kirchoff at the for front for this trend, closely followed by House of Holland and London Fashion Week favourite- Christopher Kane. Lilacs, powder blues and soft yellows all compliment each other well, as shown at Mulberry, prehaps a harder colour pallette to carry off, be careful not too look too washed out. If you don't fancy looking too doll like, toughen up with androgynous shapes, like at HoH.
With all this talk of spring we can't help but wish away the grey winter...
